Panorama Maker is a useful tool for creating panorama pictures out of several photos taken from the same environment, different point of view.
It works with JPG and TIF common files, as well as with RAW and DNG files out of some popular cameras.
The user takes three photos (minimum) for creating horizontal or vertical panorama, and a minimum of six for obtaining a 360º panorama. The application can show some photo shooting hints to help the camera user to take good photos for later panorama making.
The application takes care of looking for the corresponding and coincident edges at the photos and "blend" them according to the selected option, vertical (towers, waterfalls, etc.), horizontal (landscapes, skylines, etc.) or 360º (trees, mountains, surroundings, etc.) panorama.
It guides the user in selecting pictures from a directory or folder, it can display the photos in small thumbnails, large thumbnails or full size, helps to associate them automatically, and ask him (her) to choose the desired panorama (horizontal, vertical or 360º). The software checks the pixels size to find out if the selected photos can be stitched withou problems. It alerts the user if there's any problem.
One step ahead the application shows the selected pictures so the user can change the order for the photos to be stitched. After that, the user presses the "Stitch" button and the program goes ahead and finishes the panorama.
The final result is shown so the user can fine tune the composition by using crop and straighten to get the desired effect.
After the job is finished, the user can see a complete preview of the finished panorama and save as JPG, BMP, TIF, etc. files or print the panorama. Also, it is possible to turn the panorama into a dynamic file for QuickTime or HTML, very useful for wed developers.
